Our virtual town hall with author and journalist Melanie Kaplan was a powerful and heartfelt conversation. We were grateful for the time she spent sharing her journey with her beagle, Hammy, who lived for years in a research facility, and the cross-country search for answers that followed.
Together, we laughed, we cried, and we asked hard questions—engaging deeply with our community about compassion, accountability, and the way forward for dogs in research.
