A Record-Breaking Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday 2024 turned out to be a day of incredible generosity and support. Thanks to each and every one of you, we not only met our matching fund goal of $5,000 but exceeded it significantly. But beyond the numbers, what truly matters is how your contributions reflect a vote of confidence in our mission at The Beagle Alliance.

The Outpouring of Support

Many of you reached out, expressing a desire to do more. Trust us when we say we understand the feeling. We all wish we could support every worthwhile cause to the fullest extent possible. But let me assure you, it’s not all about the dollar amount. This year, we've received the highest number of donations from a wide variety of sources, including family foundations across Manitoba and Canada.

Introducing the Beagle Enrichment Centre

Thanks to a generous donation from the Eric S. Margolis Foundation, we are thrilled to announce the planning stages of the Beagle Enrichment Centre. This center is envisioned as a gentle transition space—a soft landing—on the way to forever homes for our beloved beagles. The foundation has been instrumental in our growth, enabling us to lay solid foundations since our inception in 2021.

It is your collective support that strengthens our resolve as the only charity and rescue organization in Canada solely dedicated to animals used in research. Your belief in our mission propels us forward, and together, as a community—a real village—we're determined to achieve remarkable feats.

With plans now in motion, we eagerly anticipate what the year 2025 holds. It looks exceedingly promising, all thanks to your incredible support. As we roll out new projects and initiatives, we hope to grow closer to our community and maybe even meet some of you in person during our travels.
