My Story…
After rescuing a Beagle from a friend, that was found alone and abandoned on the side of the highway, I brought her to my home hoping to find her owners. As we were travelling home, we tried several names and “Luna” was the only name she seemed to perk up her ears to, as she was scared and unsure during the car ride.
I was anxiously waiting to find the owners of Luna, so I could let them know that I would have wanted someone to do the same for me, if my dog had wandered away. As time passed, no one was looking for this Beautiful Beagle. In a very short time Luna was happy and comfortable in our home. We knew that with our upcoming travel plans, it was not going to be fair for Luna as she was so attached to me already. I reached out to Lori from The Beagle Alliance in hopes that we could find Luna the forever home she so deserved.
I am so grateful for Lori, to find a family that would open their arms and home for Luna! Throughout Luna’s rescue she needed several visits to the vet. She was spayed and required extensive dental work. Once she was healthy and ready to travel, Lori and The Beagle Alliance made arrangements to fly Luna to her forever home in Montreal.
Along with being grateful, and happy for Luna, there’s emptiness for the two sweet “Beagle Buddies” that came into my life, Milo and Luna, and I decided for my therapy I would fill in some of my time with a sewing project that I had been looking at making for myself. I realized this was a handy item to have, possibly in every home, and decided to devote my time to making these with a commitment to myself to give back. I reached back out to Lori with my idea, Pawzie Printz, a foot floor mop, and I could help support The Beagle Alliance with a portion of my proceeds.
