Murphy

Though only a few short weeks out of his cage in the facility, Murphy has made a lot of progress. He is already going for walks three times each day and is getting the hang of walking on a leash. He is still very skittish and fearful, starting at loud noises, and pacing at night. His foster family said he did very well with a blender. They anticipated Murphy being afraid when they turned it on, and he was, but then he went over and sniffed the blender. This boy is working to overcome his fears!

Murphy is also very sweet, loving to have his ears scratched and just be near his person.

He also wants you to know he is working hard at learning to potty only outside on his walks.

Murphy is a survivor, rescued from an animal testing facility. This sweet beagle boy spent his entire life until now in a cage, with little to no enrichment in his life: no toys, no comfortable bed, no playtime outside, no one to pet him or comfort him when he was hurt.

Murphy came to The Beagle Alliance after negotiations for his release from this facility.
