Here is my letter to Dougie and Billy!

Dougie you were by my side for 15 years
Now I look at your pictures through my tears
Your pillow on the couch is looking at me
But the rainbow bridge has set you free
Together we made quite the pair
You were my shadow until you were no longer there

Your ashes surrounded by hearts are what comforts me
So happy I made the choice so that I could see
I can feel your presence and that lets me know
Although I can’t see you I always miss you so

Your death brought meaning when you sent me Orion
He looks so much like you that it made me cry and
His name is now Billy and no more lab testing
He has a new home and is eating and resting
A Beagle mom is what I am meant to be
Here to love the pack as they are now set free
