Love Letter to Your Dog Contest 2026
Year Three of Our “Love Letter to Your Dog” Contest
It’s that time again!
We are thrilled to announce Year Three of our Love Letters to Your Dogs Contest—a heartfelt tradition and our love letter to the dogs who have changed our lives forever.
This contest is an invitation to handwrite a love letter to your dog:
- The dog who is curled up beside you right now, the one you are deeply in love with today
- Or the dog who has left this world, but who still lives on in your heart
From today until February 14, we invite you to share your handwritten love letters with us.
HOW TO ENTER:
We have four simple asks:
1. Write Your Love Letter
A Handwritten letter preferably—because love looks best in your own handwriting, however an email is absolutely ok!
2. Choose your Photo
Select a photo of your dog that captures their spirit and your bond.
3. Send it to Us
Email a photo or scan of your handwritten letter along with the photo to: info@thebeaglealliance.org
We’ll be sharing your beautiful letters and photos on our social media and featuring them on our website.
4. One Extra (Important!) Ask
Please take a typed copy of your love letter and send it to Premier Doug Ford alongside our copy should you like:
Premier Ford, THANK YOU for wanting to make a difference for dogs in research in Canada. I do hope that you will consider a comprehensive adoption program for the release of dogs from research. These dogs are special and I believe that The Beagle Alliance has the expertise to ensure they transition into loving homes with the utmost of care and training.
I just entered the “LOVE LETTERS TO YOU DOG CONTEST” on The Beagle Alliance website and I wanted to share with you my letter and how much my dog means to me with you. The Beagle Alliance believes that our love for dogs can spark change for all animals in Canada and so do I.
Thank you Premier Ford for everything you are doing for the dogs.
