Community Impact Award Nomination – WNLA
From Lab to Love… and a Second Nomination
We have been nominated for the second year in a row for the Winnipeg Nightlife Awards Community Impact Award – because of YOU!
Second year.
That means someone paused in the middle of their busy, beautiful life and thought, “They matter.”
It means you saw former research beagles take their first steps on grass and decided their stories deserved a spotlight.
It means you believe that dogs who once lived behind lab walls belong in living rooms, on couches, in beds, and in the very center of our hearts.
And we cannot say thank you loudly enough.
This Nomination Is Not About Us
It’s about:
- The beagle who learned that hands are for petting.
- The timid dog who now zooms across a backyard with joy.
- The family who discovered that rescuing a dog also rescues something inside themselves.
“Lab to Love” is not just a phrase. It’s a resurrection story in fur and floppy ears.
When a former research beagle places her head on her new human’s lap for the first time, something sacred happens. Fear loosens its grip. Trust blooms. Love does what love has always done best, it restores.
Why Your Daily Vote Matters
Awards are lovely. Recognition is kind. But the real impact is what this visibility allows us to do.
Every vote:
- Amplifies the stories of animals who deserve to be seen.
- Brings awareness to life after research.
- Helps us reach more supporters, fosters, and adopters.
- Strengthens our ability to help more dogs.
Once again, your voice matters for those with none.
How You Can Help
We are asking you to vote daily.
Yes, every 24 hours.
It takes only a moment, but that moment stacks. One vote at a time, one beagle at a time!
Thank you!

Please consider speaking with your MP about animal free science. These innovative methods have already proven to be more effective for humans, less expensive - and of course would save the lives of so many animals.
