As advocates is it our responsibility to educate, spread awareness and above all do what’s best for the animals.
We spoke with John Ramer, Executive Director of Kindness Ranch Sanctuary – about his upcoming plans for placing dogs into homes as well his experience working with the laboratories and animal care workers. At this pivotal moment in Canadian animal welfare history, The Beagle Alliance had the opportunity to speak with John about the St. Joseph’s expose and the impact our actions will have on future re-homing of research animals in Canada.
“If anyone were to rush this rescue… it could jeopardize any future rescues in Canada.”

John’s collaborative approach to the relationships between his sanctuary and the testing facilities he works with has allowed Kindness Ranch to see the release of hundreds of dogs and other animals into his care.
“Moving them immediately is adding so much more stress.”
