Poppy

Poppy is a sweet, food oriented, adorable, feisty little alpha girl beagle. She is all beagle all the time – escapes, jumps up for food, is rambunctious, has a serious prey drive (no bunnies in the house please) – but also super friendly, cuddly and affectionate.

Sadly, Poppy is being assessed for some lameness in her hind leg, possibly ACL or hip issues. She will bunny hop and try not to put any weight on it. She is also recovering from an eye infection, but Poppy has handled everything with bright, good cheer, and everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her spunk and joyful determination!

At 1.5 years old Poppy has experienced so many transitions in her short life. She lived in several foster homes, but her prey drive and commitment to following her nose kept her from settling down in one place. Recognizing that this delightful little soul was far more than the average home could handle, our rescue partner reached to ask us to help her find the perfect home and family.
