Dog Sledding: A Look at Life Beyond the Brochure

Join The Beagle Alliance in welcoming long time animal advocates, Nicole Sapalovski, from The Animal Alliance of Canada, along with Rhea Akler, who have been involved with the Dog Sledding campaign since 2018. They, along with a small team of advocates have worked tirelessly over the years to spread awareness and make a difference for these animals in Canada.

“It’s evolved from protests to outreach, social media campaigns, rescue work from ACTUAL dog sledding operations as well as the exposing of those operations.

We have largely done advocacy in Ontario and Quebec, and are currently in the process of re-evaluating the campaign to begin taking a deeper look at legislation, consulting with politicians, legal experts and advocates in order to learn more about how we can be the most effective and impactful as possible.”
